We are Stort Valley Organics, a small, family run box scheme based at Stansteadbury Farm on the outskirts of Stanstead Abbotts.
Our boxes contain certified organic fruit and vegetables which been sourced from other local farms as well as from our own farm at Stansteadbury which is certified organic.
Our aim is to provide good quality organic fruit and vegetables to the public at an affordable price whilst helping to build a sustainable food system.
Here at Stort valley organics our mission is to grow the most nutrient, mineral dense food possible while working with nature not against it. To not just feed the local community but to feed and look after all of nature. We do not use any pesticides fungicides or herbicides. Doing so would be against our whole ethos and philosophy of using nature and the natural elements to grow our food. We wouldn't dream of putting poisons on the land or on our food that we serve our family and yours.
We are Arron Griffin founder of Stort Valley Organic farm and Emma Clark with our son Josh. We are a small family farm that started around March 2014 with our first plot of land on a 3 acre site on the High Wych road on the outskirts of Sawbridgeworth. In September 2020 we moved to Stansteadbury farm near Stanstead Abbotts to take over the running of a beautiful Victorian walled garden and establish a new market garden on what was previously a meadow, as well as 2 polly tunnels. These plots were put into conversion to organic to produce fresh organic produce for the people in the surrounding areas through our box scheme.
All produce that comes from our new farm is grown to organic standards on land that hasn't been treated with any chemicals for a number of years. These new plots were put into conversion in February 2020 and are now fully certified organic.
